My portfolio review with Sophie Traynor was very useful in the lead up to our final year deadline submissions, as she gave me advice on how to improve the visual layout of my portfolio, as well as teaching me a valuable retouching technique, Dodge and Burn, that is currently used in the industry today.

Sophie commented that compared to the layout of my website, my portfolio lacked a sense of narrative and an energetic feel to it. She said that when she views my work on my website she gains a perspective of who I am as a photographer and my current style of work. In order to have this same approach in my digital portfolio, Sophie recommended that I create editorials of some of my shoots and include images on a double page together, and change the sequence of my photographs by mixing up the order of the photographs.
